FAQ’S

*How long will my fruit last?
If refrigerated immediately, citrus will last from 2-4 weeks. At room temperature, fruit will wither and become unattractive within a week to 10 days.

*Why are my oranges green?
In Florida, temperatures sometimes do not get cold enough to allow fruit peels to turn orange.

*How do I know if my fruit is ripe?
The only way to determine maturity is to taste the fruit. Fruit color is a poor indication of ripeness.

*How will my fruit arrive?
If shipped to an address within the continental US (excluding California, Arizona, and Texas), all orders arrive via UPS Ground service.

*Why are California, Arizona, and Texas different?
Since these states also produce citrus, any fruit that enters must be fumigated to prevent the spread of insects or diseases. Therefore, packages must pass through the Department of Agriculture for each state, and then are shipped to the customer.

*What variety of orange is considered a juice orange?
While all oranges are juiced in Florida, typically the Valencia is considered a “juice orange”.

*What is Indian River fruit?
This is fruit that is grown in Florida groves along the Indian River.
