Orange Nut Ginger Bars
1 package ginger bread mix
¾ cup warm orange juice
2 tablespoons orange peel (grated)
1 cup chopped nuts
Orange Icing
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup confectioners sugar
2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1 orange rind (grated)
Combine mix with orange juice. Add grated peel and chopped
nuts. Pour into greased 9x9x1 ¾ pan.
Bake in 350F oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
Frost with orange icing. Cut into bars
Orange Icing
Cream the butter, and add sugar and orange juice gradually.
Beat until soft and creamy. Spread on cakes and cookies.
